Support Us
Like most choirs in the UK, Oxford Bach Choir is an amateur choir, registered as a charity and managed by volunteers. Our activities are funded by ticket sales and members’ subscriptions, but these alone cannot cover the costs of our music making.
Throughout our long history, the choir has always aimed to perform to the highest standards, remaining faithful to the music by bringing together professional soloists and instrumentalists of the high calibre to perform with us. The list of conductors, orchestras and soloists who have performed with the Oxford Bach Choir would alone make us one of the foremost choral societies in the country. However, the roll call of composers who have written for the choir; or whose work we have championed, giving first and early performances of their works is extraordinary. You can read more about the history of the Oxford Bach Choir in About Us section.
Excellence in music-making comes at a cost and every concert that we perform, needs to be financial support, i.e., to be subsidised. OBC Friends are our ‘official’ supporters, who pay a yearly subscription and in return have priority booking for concerts and are invited to the various receptions and events that we hold throughout the year.
Our Sponsorship page gives details of how you can support the Oxford Bach Choir with a longer commitment.
We also have a JustGiving link for those who would like to donate to our work.

Every pound that we raise through Friends, Sponsors and Donations goes directly to music-making, which now includes our OBC Community programme, about which you can read more in the Concerts & Activities section of the website.
Thank you to all our amazing supporters, without whom the Oxford Bach Choir could simply not continue to perform all this great music.
