Spem in Alium Choral Workshop

Saturday 16 May 2020

Merton College, Oxford

Please note: this event has taken place.

Are you a singer looking for a challenging but exciting singing day?

Yes?  Then come and join the Oxford Bach Choir to rehearse and perform Spem in alium – Thomas Tallis’ fabulous and monumental 40-part motet (set for eight choirs of five voices each) in the year which marks the 450th anniversary of its composition.

The day is under the direction of BENJAMIN NICHOLAS, our Music Director and the Merton College Director of Music.

Singers will rehearse in small choir groups with Ben ably assisted by fellow conductors Alex Little, Tom Fetherstonhaugh and Carys Lane.

The music will be emailed to you in advance so you will know which choir you have been allocated to and be able to look at your part ahead of the workshop.

Please download and return the Booking Form to the address provided.

Further information and workshop programme also available to download below. Any questions please email workshop@oxfordbachchoir.org

We look forward to seeing you at Merton College in May!
