Sponsorship opportunities

Our aim is to provide concerts of the highest musical standard possible, and for this reason we believe it is important to engage the best professional soloists and orchestras.

In order to achieve this aim, we have to meet the ongoing challenge of raising sufficient funds to stage our concerts; this includes covering the fees of orchestras and soloists, producing publicity material and hiring venues. This can often be in excess of £15,000 for each individual concert.

Although the Oxford Bach Choir is a registered charity we do not receive financial support from public funds, and so, to continue our contribution to Oxford’s musical life at the highest level, we have to rely on our own fundraising efforts, donations from the public and grants received from Trusts in support of our work.

Each choir member makes a significant contribution to the funding of our performances through an annual membership subscription, and many are also actively involved in a variety of fundraising schemes and activities. Members are required to provide their own music scores and concert dress.

We also have a dedicated committee who give their time freely to manage the administration and development of the choir.

Donations are made to OBC from numerous leading retailers – you may already be buying from them on a regular basis – and this way of raising funds is available at no cost to you.
