Orchestras collaborating with OBC

Oxford Bach Choir is privileged to perform with outstanding professional soloists and orchestras, which we feel greatly enhances the enjoyment and standard of our performances.

Orchestras have included the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (with whom the Choir performed Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis and Delius’ A Mass of Life in Symphony Hall, Birmingham, in the 1990s), the BBC Concert Orchestra, the New Queen’s Hall Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, the Britten Sinfonia, Charivari Agréable and the English Chamber Orchestra. The Choir has regularly collaborated with the London Mozart Players, the Philharmonia and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Most recently we have performed with the Instruments of Time and Truth, a recently formed baroque ensemble based on Oxford, and we are excited to welcome Florilegium for the final concert of this season in June 2019.
